Hello there! I’m Khandaker Monjir-Ul-Morsalin, and I’m delighted to have you here. Let me give you a glimpse into my journey, skills, and experiences.

Education

I kick-started my educational voyage at Daffodil International University, Dhaka, where I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering, graduating in 2021. Prior to that, I completed my Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Motijheel Government Boy’s High School, Dhaka, and my Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Motijheel Model High School and College, Dhaka, in 2016 and 2013 respectively.

Academic Research

During my academic pursuit, I immersed myself in a captivating research project titled “A Deep Learning Approach for Animal Recognition from Animal Image.” The project aimed to develop an innovative method to identify specific animals by analyzing their images and leveraging predictive analytics based on historical data.

Skills and Abilities

Professionally, I possess a diverse range of skills. From programming languages including Java, Python, C++, and C, to database management systems like Oracle, I’m well-versed in various technological domains. Moreover, my expertise extends to HTML, MS Office Suite, and Google Earth Pro. On the creative front, I’m adept at content writing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), WordPress, YouTubing, and Blogging.

In essence, my journey has been a fusion of academic excellence, professional growth, and a relentless pursuit of innovation. I am deeply passionate about leveraging technology to drive positive change and am committed to continual learning and development in every aspect of my life.

Solidaridad Network Asia, Dhaka

Programme Support Officer (April 1, 2024 – Present)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records by regularly updating and periodically reviewing the books of accounts.
  • Assist in developing project budgets and financial plans, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Review and process invoices, receipts, and expense claims to accurately record project-related expenses.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors, consultants, and staff salaries.
  • Monitor banking activities related to the project.
  • Contribute to financial planning and forecasting for the project’s financial needs.
  • Prepare periodic internal and external financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and year-end procedures.
  • Monitor expenditures against budget by maintaining spreadsheets and provide periodical control reports to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate procurement processes, including obtaining quotes, preparing comparative statements, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.
  • Arrange accommodations and travel logistics for project staff, consultants, and stakeholders as required.
  • Liaise with logistics suppliers for venue booking, catering, transportation, and materials preparation.
  • Maintain a database of all vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with financial training and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Conduct field visits as necessary.
  • Provide administrative and financial training and support to project staff, if required.
  • Coordinate events as per management requirements.

Trainee Officer, ICT and E-Traceability System Operation (March 6, 2022 – March 31, 2024)

Responsibilities:

  • Support Value Chain Experts and E-Traceability Specialists in operationalizing the E-Traceability system throughout the shrimp supply chain in Bangladesh.
  • Conduct training sessions for cluster mobilizers and enumerators on the Shrimp Farm Database in various Upazilas.
  • Assist shrimp cluster mobilizers and enumerators in real-time data sharing through digital platforms.
  • Train and monitor Cluster Mobilizers for a survey on shrimp post-harvest service centers.
  • Provide training to Department of Fisheries (DOF) officials, Cluster Leaders, and value chain actors on the Shrimp E-Traceability application.
  • Conduct report writing and data cleaning activities.
  • Collaborate closely with GIS experts and relevant project personnel to gain insights into GIS mapping and ICT tools development for project monitoring and evaluation.
  • Collect geospatial data of shrimp clusters.
  • Emphasize the importance of visualizing learning and communication materials in consultation with communication experts.

SourceTrace

Local Facilitator (December 11, 2022 – December 15, 2022)

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a local Facilitator for a training session of the Gender-responsive Coastal Adaptation Project by UNDP.
  • Assist the SourceTrace India team in training web app and mobile app users.
  • Register Mobile App and Web app users and activate their devices for data collection.
